First we enter through the inside area. We take photos and videos with our phone. No shoes allowes inside.

After that we get to the outside area.

To go to the restaurant they might ask us to order something.

Perfect for wide angle and close up photos. Very unique location. Sometimes they light copal which creates a great ambiance.

Hotel next to Nomade

Their policies are confusing. 

Somtimes it was fine to take photos without any additional charge, when the client was staying at the hotel.

Sometimes they quoted 140 USD to clients who were staying at the the hotel. I bet the staff doesn't even know themselves, lol

We never tell them, that I'm a photographer

We can also always try to sneak in. I have walked on property from the beach side before and taken photos. I don't mind. Worst case security tells us off and then we can ask at reception how much they want to charge us if we just want to take a few more photos.

Last time they wanted 180 USD for a one hour shoot and they were asking the couple what kind of shoot it was. It was an anniversary couple shoot and that was fine. I'm not sure how they react to branding photos. So we probably wouldn't be able to use props.

When my client was staying at the hotel, they were fine with us doing the photoshoot. So best option might be to rent a room.

In my opinion Holistika doesn't have that much to offer. The pool area is nice with the hammocks and the ring. There is also a grey wall by the small pool. See photos below.

Ikal has these very woody and rustic villas.

The client was staying at the villa and we were taking photos inside. It has this darker brown colour scheme.

The path in front of the villa is green and jungely.

If we do something at Ikal, we can also combine it with some photos on the beach.

Once we have a date I will msg the general manager and check availability and price. The price depends on the dates. Currently the rooms are 1700 pesos, so very reasonable.
